OREGON - Willamette National Forest, in western central Oregon
August 3-7, (Mon-Fri), 2015. Fishmaster - Stuart Engle.
Fishing Salt Creek, Salmon Creek, North Fork of the Middle Fork Willamette River and the Middle Fork Willamette for Oregon species. Also float tubing some lakes. Base of operations, Blue Pool Campground on Salt Creek. Willamette National Forest. Recent Oregon closures do not affect this trip. Water is low, but temperatures are good.
The area is a 7 hour road trip up past Shasta, east and north on Highway 97, and west on Highway 58.
Oregon fishing licenses are easy to get online. A 3-day license was under $40. You can get a non-resident annual license for around $120.
Hotel Accommodations available downriver in Oakridge, Oregon if you don't want to camp. Float trips available if water levels are high enough through the Caddis Fly Shop in Eugene.
GPFF strongly encourages car pooling. Email me to coordinate rides, or, more generally, if you have questions. A detailed Fishout Sheet will be sent to registered participants a few weeks before the trip.
Contact Stuart Engle for fishout sheet.
