Darrell Hanks will give a clinic on Skagit casting and high-water fishing on the Rogue River.
April, 2015. Marke Estis - Fishmaster. Marke has taken over since Brian Endlich is not able to go. Arrangements and cost sharing as below.
Marke's comments:
"I have arranged for the Spey Clinic to be held on Sunday and Monday 4/12 and 4/13. Darrel is also available for float trips following the clinic. I would like to do this if someone wants to join me. Not sure of the exact price of the float but probably around $450 to be split by the two anglers
[B]ecause so few are going it does not make financial sense to rent a house. There is a very good motel in Shady Cove, the Edgewater Inn that has rooms ranging from $60-100 per night that has space available. This hotel is right on the river and is next to the best restaurant in town. Rebecca has stayed there many times and likes it. I intend to rent a kitchenette so we can hang out together when we want to. I suggest we all rent rooms there. You may want to partner-up to reduce costs. Brian has offered to host a class at the Oakland casting ponds before the trip to discuss techniques and equipment. Our guide Darryl Hanks is available and I will send him our e-mail addresses so he can contact all of us and advise of his plans for the clinic. I have taken clinics and floats with Darryl and find his help great. He has a very gentle, patient technique which works well for me. Please tell me your intentions as soon as you can and let me know if you still intend to make the trip and if you are interested in Brian's offer of a pre-trip class."
