Beginning Fly Fishing Class
Imagine swinging a soft-hackled caddis in a sparkling stream! You’ll learn fly fishing basics; insects as fish food, artificial flies, essential gear, important knots, top Nor Cal streams and rivers, catch and release, protecting watersheds, local clubs, shops, and resources with plenty of time to practice your casts and mends.
This is a comprehensive class beginning with 3-hour and a half classroom meetings at the Albany Community Center and ending with a hour and a half casting lesson at the Oakland casting Ponds.
This is a community education program.

Thurs. Sept. 15 at 6:30–8:00 PM. Introduction and Film
Thurs. Sept. 22 at 6:30–8:00 PM. Knots, Rigging and Gear
Thurs. Sept. 29 at 6:30–8:00 PM. Entomology
Sat. Oct. 1 at 8:30 – 10:00 AM. Casting

The cost is $60 per person and includes membership to Grizzly Peak Fly Fishers.
