Smith River - July 8-12 (Fri-Tues) -- Fish the beautiful Smith River and its tributaries for resident cutthroat and rainbow trout. Fishmaster - Rich Miller
Here is the Fishout Sheet.
By the end of June, the flows in the Smith are typically down near their summer lows and the regular season has opened, making the main forks of the Smith as well as all the tributaries available for fishing. The water is still cold enough for the fish to feed actively during the day and the wading is easy. There is excellent road access to the main stem and the lower portions of the middle and south forks, and smaller roads follow the upper middle fork and many fine tributary streams.
GPFF strongly encourages car pooling. Email me to coordinate rides, or, more generally, if you have questions.
