PUTAH CREEK

Fishmaster, Brad Gee

A day trip to Putah Creek. This is very close to Berkeley, 65 miles away.  Before you know it, you are wading in a river, hoping to hook a Putah Creek rainbow.  Contact Brad at bgeeandelee@yahoo.com.  Take Hwy 128 west from Winters, CA.  Meet at 7:15 am at the dirt parking lot on the EAST of the road immediately above the bridge on Hwy 128 (lat-long (38.512268,-122.095681), just past the Canyon Creek Resort).

Brad's description:

"Bring 4 or 5 wt rod and nymphs for the day. Olive and brown colors are best. Dead drifting small midges or swinging streamers can be effective.

The last time that I went on Veteran's Day, there were so many fisherman that I drove away. We will hope for less crowds this year. If the water is too crowded, we will scout and note productive water.

Let me know if you want to carpool."
