Club member Elaina Genser has 300 acres of land on the South Fork of Battle Creek, about two miles of private water, teeming with trout. This is your chance to visit and fish these waters, and it's also the biggest fund-raiser of the year for the Grizzly Peak Fly Fishers Club.
This outing is open to up to 8 people. Getting to the Genser' property requires a 4WD vehicle, but there are several members who have them so you can come even if you don't have your own.
We will all sleep in sleeping bags on the deck, but otherwise there are all of the conveniences of home, including hot running water, a shower and a flush toilet.
In addition to fishing, there is swimming in the Creek, hiking, target and trap shooting, and probably a poker game.
The hiking up and down the river can be very difficult, with lots of slippery rocks, steep banks, thorny bushes and some deeper water. Sorry, but if your mobility is limited, this is probably not a good outing for you.
$200 each. This event is currently full, please add your name to the waitlist.
