Fall River Trip November 2-6, 2025

Ed Beggs and I will be Co-Fishmastering a trip to Fall River from 11/2-11/6 at Circle 7 Ranch in Fall River Mills.  This is an experiment.  GPFF has not run this kind of outing since well before Covid.   We will have room for 2-4 anglers in addition to Ed and myself.  I have fished Fall River in November twice, and Ed has once.  It is uncrowded at this time of year, but the fishing can be solid with dries (midges and BWO), swinging soft hackles, and leech patterns.  Some fish are quite large, and there are lots of small enthusiastic fish if you prefer action.

If you register for this outing, you are committing to payment for your part.  If you are unable to attend, you will still be responsible for full payment, unless you can find a replacement.  Finding   a replacement will be your responsibility.

If we have a total of 4 anglers, the estimated cost for 4 nights (that’s 3 full fishing days) will be roughly $500 per angler.  If we have 6 anglers, it will be roughly $400 per angler.  Check-in time is 3:00pm on Sunday the 2nd, and Check-out time is 10am on Thursday the 6th.  If you want to split the time with another GPFF member, that’s up to you; however, you need to make the arrangements, and you will both be responsible for payment.  We cannot sleep more than 6 anglers total.

You must have a watercraft to fish, but boats can be rented for $125 per day, and can be shared by 2 anglers.   The boats have electric motors and anchors.  The Cal Trout launch ramp is across the river, but only electric or human powered boats can be launched there.  The current is swift, so a float tube will not work unless you are Superman!

This is a very special place.  The house we will rent sleeps 6, has a kitchen, and is right on the river.  Boats are available daily right in front of the house.  Once you arrive, there is no need to go anywhere else for the duration.  You can start fishing right in front of the boat docks, or motor upstream for miles.  The house has a full kitchen and laundry.  Anglers will be responsible for their own 3 squares/day.

I have to get this rolling right away, because I will be up at Ah-Di-Nah from 9/7-9/12, so things must happen fast.

I will open registration on Tuesday, September 2, at 8pm.  I you are interested, I suggest you sign up ASAP.  I need to arrange payment for the trip before I leave for the Ah-Di-Nah.
